it was night and the city was alive, it was some kind of shina festival and the music was pounding to the drum of the beat. there were attractions all over the place, and the streets were full of music and culter this was the way the Shina partied for one day of the year the strict code of honor and ethics that tied this city down were let loose so that they could celebrate like the world was ending.

among the Fire dancers one stood out. His fire blue streaks across the night air as he moved with the fluid motion of a poi dancer. around his wrists were chained two balls of fire covered in oil and lit ablaze Markus danced with the practiced ease of a master. the two chains staying close to him his motions controlled as he drew line after line of blue fire across the darkness. His bare feet moving and carrying him to the rhythm of the drums. most of the dancers were female most Men that chose to dance with fire used staves but staves were tame you couldn't burn yourself as easily as with poi, and it wasn't nearly as stunning enough for markus.

his showmen ship was always going to get the better of him but he left most of his tricks out of this performance allowing only his natural skill of the dance to show his motions. that was untill the beat began to move quicker. here he could speed up his motions and control the fire bend it with his magic creating images of living fire, and he soon found hiself dancing with a living snake of blue fire around him. the dance was unatural now his magic played more into it keeping him and those around him safe from his always intense flames, but as the music ended the snake gave a shudder it had been coiled around him seemingly ingulfing him but now it launched its self from where he danced and flew high exploding into a firework with the last drum beat. Markus' dance ended with the same beat leaving him in a bow. breathing heavily but not fully winded he would have to leave the stage and let others take his place.

Jeni watched all the happenings that were going on from the best view in the house. A tree. She was still getting used to the feeling of being dead. It also didn't help that it was hotter here due to the fire dances. She felt alittle at odds with everything going on. She would calmly brush her cool fingers across her forearm, sending a cool chill onto her skin. She looked on as one of the fire dances ended. She felt as though she recognized the dancer from some where...but where could that be?

She brushed off the feeling of familiarity and climbed down from her safe perch. She was waiting on an assignment to come through from Jace. She was already here and waiting but she figured, she may as well see the sights while she was here. Unfortunately she was alittle too lost in thought and ran smack dab into the dancer that had been preforming on stage. "Pardon me. Wonderful dance. Again, excuse me!" She said looking down. To her, her eyes were still very freaky looking and she prefered that people not look directly into them, unless they were facing death.

Markus was bumped into as he was walking towards a sorce of water and when he turned to see who had almost knocked him over he saw a woman who was adverting there eyes. his ego wanted to say it was becouse she was a fan awe struck by his perfomance but his other senses were telling him that it was becouse she wanted to stay hidden or rather keep somehting hidden. "Its fine just keep where your watching next time you walk. Are you oaky though?"

the chivelrous side of him made sure that he would have to ask, but in all honesty he wasn't sure he cared. his throat was still very dry and frankly after his performance he was more intrested in finding some water then the actual girl. "do you know a place to get a drink around here?" he asked casually, she may have bumped into him but that didn't mean she couldn't be useful.

She nodded as he asked her to watch where she was going. "I am well enough." She said and was prepared to move away when he asked where he could get a drink. She turned to glance at him pulling off her hood. At this point she didn't care if he saw how she was or not. She shook her white hair loose from it's hiding place and opened her eyes to him. "Well, that all depends on what kind of a drink you want." She offered.

There had been a bug following her everywhere she went and finally she had had enough. She whiped her right hand up and shot a jolt of ice through her finger killing the insect immediately. It clanked as it fell to the ground, dead. "If you want a more....sturdy drink I suggest one The Green Lamp, if your searching for just water, there is a well just up the street. Best water I've ever tasted." She said and then proceeded to move off.

"sturdy? you mean alchohal? Im in for that... would you like to come with me?" Being a nomadic person Markus didn't really know anyone anymore, but he did enjoy the company of others. she seemed nice and hay drinks! as she started to move off he extended his invitation.

Markus turned to go for the green lamp. the idea of a smooth drink fueling his motions. fire dancing always makes one thirsty from inhaling the smoke, and alchohal would down that problem without a doubt. also since it was a party he may as well live it up. "Come on what do you say? btw my name is markus whats yours?"

As she turned to leave he offered her an invite to join him for a drink. She was dead. What harm could a good drink do? She turned at his invite and nodded. "Very well, I shall join you. I am Jeni Love." She said and gave a slight smile as she turned and walked back towards him. The bar was not far off, just a few feet away.

Once they had arrived at the bar she pulled off her jacket and threw it over the back of her chair. This was the first time since....her death that she had come out into public. She ordered a few shots of tequila and a dark beer and took a seat. She looked up at Markus. "What brings you into town? Aside from the fire dancing? You seem like you prefer to keep to your own and not bother with the...silly humans here." She said taking a large swig of her drink.
