Now, with this next section, *Castellian lifts a very large and worn book onto the desk in front of you* you'll find is damn near limitless. There may be only six known magical elements, but there are a hundred times as many mage and magic user types. Elemental Mages, Spell Weavers, Sorcerors, Necromancers, which are banned within the Walkers by the way, Shadow Masters, Light Wielders, Shape Shifters, Blood Drinkers, all kinds of crap. Seriously, with magick, if you have the brain and will for it, you can be anything, I mean anything, you want.
Now if magic is your thing and you really want to get into the nit and grit of it, I have a small list of things you may want to know.
Limitations -
Every mage has great power, and to be able to use magic truly is a gift, being able to use it well is a curse. Magic uses a fuel source, and that fuel source is a substance known as Mana. Everyone has it, and some call it by a different name, but the general census is that Mana is what drives magical powers and machinery. However, like all fuel sources, it can run out. A person's mana pool is only as big as their own reserves of strength, and needless to say if you exhaust all of you mana, you either faint, or you die. That, simple.
The Elements -
As you already know, there are six known magical elements, and a mage uses one or all of them to do his bidding. Here's a list of them.
Earth
Wind
Water
Fire
Light
Shadow
Important Note -
For people that use stealth magicks or like to shape shift, there's something real important to keep in mind. For the stealth guys, to stay invisible or chameleoned for extended periods of time can severely exhaust your mana pool and phsyical strength, in addition, it takes even more mana to attack from the shadow and remain unseen, because then you will have to compensate for everyone else that may or may not see you.
The Shape Shifting part is a bitch to deal with and I still wonder why people use it, but the big rule is that you can only shift into something that has equal or near equal mass to you. a 4'5" girl cannot shift into a an 8' grizzly bear, and the same goes for the man that tries to go from being a 6'4" hulk into a swallow.
Now just because shadow and light is listed there, DOES NOT mean one is good or evil, got it? The intention of whoever uses them makes them good or evil. So when you're out in the field and you meet a preist, keep in mind he might be a demonic priest, and the creepy dark emo kid might be on your side.
{[Author's Note: Keep in mind if you are a shape shifter, or anything that uses a power over time effect, there has to be a keen limit post to it, and no god modes]}.
